COMPARATIVE CROSS-SECTIONAL STUDY OF DERMATOLOGICAL MEDICAL PRESCRIPTIONS IN MOROCCO BETWEEN THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTORS

Abstract

Introduction : The aim of our study is to evaluate, through objective results, the particularities and potential differences in dermatological medical prescriptions between the public and private sectors. Materials and Methods : A prospective, observational, descriptive, and analytical study was conducted in our department over a 6-month period. Prescriptions were collected via patients, peers, pharmacists, and medical representatives. A database was generated containing data on sex, sector, number of treatments, number of cosmetic treatments, number of medical treatments, and prescription costs. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS software, version 20.0.
