Abstract
With the revolution of science and technology, biological desire has surpassed the boundaries of biological subjects. The recognition of rights and desire has resulted in the crisis of the human bodies available for the satisfaction of physical desire. This proves to be an opportunity for not only technological and material objects but also for shifting human desire in material objects as a substitute. However, the conditional or controlled availability of biological bodies is being materialized by a synthetic body. Sex dolls are such bodies that are available as a substitute for human bodies unconditionally. Now, the question arises whether the physical desire of humans will permanently shift to technical or material objects. Will the concept of physical and emotional intimacy with human bodies in conjugal relationships also transit? If the desires of human beings meet intimacy with such sex dolls, will they still remain men with human essence? Therefore, the present study attempts to explore the answers to these persisting questions through the erotic life portrayed in Jeanette Wintersons Frankissstein: A love Story.
