Abstract
Faced with the challenge of an ever-growing number of young people seeking employment after completing their university education in Guinea, incorporating entrepreneurship into educational curricula appears to be an effective solution for promoting their self-employment and economic independence. This study highlights the essential role of entrepreneurship in job creation and the development of young people’s skills. The overall objective of this study is to investigate the barriers to the implementation of socio-professional stability among young graduates following their university education. The specific objectives are to identify the obstacles to reforming traditional education in universities and to examine the factors contributing to young people’s reluctance to pursue self - employment. The study highlights the distinctive qualities of an entrepreneur, the various stages of starting a business in order to demystify the process of starting a business, the main causes of business failure, and proposes strategies for managing the risks inherent in entrepreneurship. The main findings from our research conducted in the city of Kindia, Guinea, in May 2026 among university administrators, students, and recent graduates living in Kindia show that, despite the existence of several public and private initiatives to promote entrepreneurship through training, incubation, and financial support programs, aspiring entrepreneurs face, above all, limited access to financing, a lack of appropriate training, and insufficient technical support.
