Abstract
Cloud based enterprise resource planning (ERP) migration is increasingly presented as a route to industrial agility, although the conditions under which it improves actual process efficiency and managerial judgement remain insufficiently differentiated. This integrative review examines how moving from locally hosted ERP configurations to cloud-delivered enterprise platforms could affect end-to-end workflows and evidence - based decisions in Saudi industrial enterprises. A structured, purposive synthesis of DOI-traceable academic publications dated 2015-2025 combines empirical ERP research, cloud adoption and implementation studies, manufacturing digitalisation, and Saudi-specific investigations. Evidence was interpreted through a migration-to-value pathway that separates platform conversion from process redesign, information integration, user assimilation, and realized performance. The synthesis indicates that cloud deployment can reduce infrastructure rigidity and improve the accessibility of common enterprise information, but the operational gains depend on master-data integrity, integration with production systems, redesigned controls, and sustained user engagement.
