Afcons Infrastructure Ltd (Oil & Gas BU) has recently completed Installation & Commissioning of HRD process platform at Mumbai high . Float over technology was used in this project for installation of top side for this project. Afcons oil & Gas BU has done similar type of project ICP-R in the past by using conventional technology of installation. The use of float over technology is second in Indian waters. The major advantage of using this technology is reduction of fuel consumption, lesser pollution, and preservation of environment. Due to the use of this float over technology the total fuel consumption is reduced to 365.7 KL from 1369.3KL which in turn reduces the significant pollution to the environment.
