Abstract
The aim of the study was to determine the performance of dyes extract from Dichrostachys cinerea flower. The colour fastness properties and K/S –value of dyed H2O2 bleached silk cloth were determined and compared. Fastness properties of the dyed cloth were determined by standard AATCC and ISO methods. From the comparative study of colour fastness properties dyed cloth washing, lightening, rubbing fastness and perspiration fastness and K/S –value of the dyed silk cloth, Dichrostachys cinerea in post mordanting method with 3% chemical mordant (ferrous sulphate) combination give better results.
