COMPARISON BETWEEN DEXMEDETOMIDINE AND NALBUPHINE AS AN ADJUVANT TO BUPIVACAINE IN SPINAL ANAESTHESIA

The aim of the study is to compare the following factors in two groups i.e.: Group D - 0.5% HYPERBARIC BUPIVACAINE (15 mg) + DEXMEDETOMIDINE (10 µg) Group N - 0.5% HYPERBARIC BUPIVACAINE (15 mg) + NALBUPHINE( 0.4 mg ) The main objectives of the study were :- Onset and duration of sensory blockade. Onset and duration of motor blockade. Time of two segment regression. Duration of analgesia Rescue analgesia, if required Haemodynamic changes in heart rate, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure. Sedation Side effects/complications.
