Abstract
Bronchiectasis is a common condition of lungs characterized by abnormal permanent dilatation of airways .Structural abnormalities will lead to abnormal accumulation of secretions, colonization of organisms and repeated infectious exacerbations. Common organisms include Pseudomonas, Pneumococci and Hemophilus.Sometimes unusual organisms like Nocardia can lead to infectious exacerbations in these patients. Prompt recognition of organism and accurate antibiotic coverage will lead to complete recovery. We present 3 bronchiectasis patients who had infectious exacerbation with Nocardia with variable outcomes.
