The complaint should clearly mention:

  1. The title and manuscript number (if applicable)

  4. The name and contact details of the complainant (anonymous complaints may also be reviewed if supported by credible evidence)

  2. The Publication Ethics and Integrity Committee, chaired by Dr. Ahmad M. Saqr, will review and evaluate the matter in detail.
  3. The committee may seek clarification or additional documents from the concerned parties (authors, editors, or reviewers) to ensure a fair and transparent review.
  4. A formal response or decision will be provided to the complainant within approximately two (2) weeks from the date of acknowledgment.
  5. If the issue requires deeper investigation, the committee will inform the complainant of the extended timeline and provide updates on the progress.

Expected Outcomes

Depending on the nature and severity of the issue, possible actions include:

  • Clarification or correction in the published article
  • Retraction or withdrawal of the paper
  • Issuance of an editorial note or erratum
  • Advisory or warning to the author or reviewer
  • Other actions deemed appropriate by the committee

All proceedings are treated with strict confidentiality, and the committee’s decision is final and binding in all matters related to publication ethics and integrity.

Decision and Reporting

The committee’s decisions are final and binding on all parties concerned. All findings, actions, and resolutions are documented and communicated formally to the involved authors or editors. Where necessary, corrections, retractions, or clarifications will be published in accordance with COPE guidelines to preserve the integrity of the academic record.
