Abstract

Dermatophytosis is a superficial fungal infection of keratinized tissue caused by a group of filamentous fungi such as Trichophyton, Epiderm ophyton, Microsporum.They are a group of taxonomically related fungi that utilize keratin as a source of nutrients and colonize keratinized tissues including stratum corneum of epidermis, nail,and hair1.
