Abstract
Geopolitical instability has emerged as a persistent driver of operational disruption in the energy sector, with significant implications for procurement and financial workflows. The procure-to-pay (P2P) function, which integrates sourcing, procurement, and payment activities, is particularly vulnerable to supply shocks, regulatory volatility, and cost fluctuations. This paper examines the impact of geopolitical conflict on P2Pprocesses in energy companies and proposes strategic interventions aimed at enhancing resilience, adaptability, and financial control.
