Abstract
Copper oxide nanoparticles were successfully fabricated using Sonochemical method. The synthesized CuO nanostructures were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV-vis spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. The effect of pH on the final product was investigated. CuO nanoparticles were synthesized by drop wise addition of Cu (CH3COO)2 solution to NaOH, in two different concentrations and pH maintained at 9. The study helps produce CuO nanoparticles easily at large scale. Besides, the method is simple to synthesis, easeful, flexible, fast, cost effective, and pollution free.
