Abstract
This article explores the operation of Minimalist Program (MP) in the analysis of morphosyntactic structure of Dholuo verbal extensions. It examines how derivational features of five Dholuo verbal extensions namely, applicative, locative, reflexive, reciprocal and stative get interpreted through covert movement and checking of morphosyntactic features in derived Dholuo verbs. Some scholars argue that movement does not occur in Dholuo because of its weak morphology. It is against this argument that this article tends to make contribution to the applicability of the movement to Dholuo verb morphology using the five extensions thus proving further the universality of the MP in the analysis of languages.
