0 Downloads 11 Views

Abstract

This paper offers an analysis of the history and evolution of teacher training colleges (Teachers\' Training School) in Benin, from their inception to their integration into the LMD (Bachelor-Master-Doctorate) system. It also explores the legacy of the National Conference of Vital Forces and the National Education Forums in shaping the structure and functioning of these institutions. Do these teacher training colleges, as established and organized, contribute to Benin\'s development through the quality of their training? Furthermore, the sovereign nature of public teacher training colleges calls for a closer look at their role in disseminating republican values and building model citizenship capable of meeting the existential challenges faced by Beninese people on a daily basis.
